Description
‘Holding The Line’ – by Keith Hill
On the 8th August 1944, a St Agnian in Normandy, Trooper Joe Ekins of the 1st Northamptonshire Yeomanry, took out three SS Tiger tanks with his crew in a Sherman Firefly. It is believed by most military historians that one of these tanks was that of SS Tank ace, Michael Wittman. The print is countersigned by members of the Northamptonshire Yeomanry, including Joe Ekins.
